Tips To Rejuvenate Your Bedroom
Decorating your bedroom can be done quite inexpensively and will freshen up your room for a more peaceful night's sleep. Walls, accessories, shelves and furniture can be tastefully decorated to create the room of your dreams.
One thing that can make all the difference is the color of walls. You may choose to paint them and often neutral shades are the most relaxing such as pale lemons, spearmint and cream. If you want to add a unique touch then one option is to decorate one wall which can stand out as a signature wall and allow you to build the theme of the room around this. Fleur de Lis wallpaper is very fashionable and can work well in bedroom.
Furniture can make a big difference in your bedroom. A king sleigh bed will be visually striking and you can choose the type of wood for the base that you think will work best with the room. Choose brightly colored linens and bedding for a splash of color as this will work well with the neutral walls and can be changed each week for variety.
In your child's bedroom, toddler beds or baby cribs can be chosen to compliment the wallpaper or theme of the room. They come in all shapes and sizes and you can even get children's beds shaped like a fire truck or a boat which are really good choices if your nursery is in a particular theme.
If you want to create a room that your child can use for years to come then you may want to invest in a twin sleigh bed. These are made in good quality wood which is shaped and rounded so there are less potential hazards for your child to bump against.
Smaller rooms can be enhanced with shelving which frees up more floor space and allows you to store books and ornaments on shelves and use the wall space.
Mirrors are a way to reflect light and create depth in a room. In a bedroom, full-length mirrors can be really effective if positioned near a window allowing the light to bounce back and give the illusion of more space. They are also more practical for checking your outfit each day when dressing.
Invest in some new curtains and a blind for a splash of color. This can brighten up a more neutral room without having to commit to a color on the walls. Experiment with different types of bedding and select sheets and accessories that work well with the curtains. You could even select a bolder print here for a bit more of a statement to your room.
