Epiphone Masterbilt EF-500M Acoustic Guitar
Taking inspiration from the classic 1930’s era of guitar manufacturing is the Epiphone Masterbilt EF-500M fingerstyle acoustic guitar. The Epiphone Masterbilt EF-500M features all solid wood construction with Mahogany back and sides and a Sitka Spruce top; a mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard and mother of pearl diamond inlays; a 1930’s era "offset notch" headstock shape with Epiphone script logo from the same era. The EF-500M has the sound look and playability of a premium vintage guitar.
The Epiphone Masterbilt EF-500M features a sitka spruce top and mahogany body to produce a lovely warm tone with pronounced mid-range and high-end. The EF-500M’s solid woods and light satin finish combine to give the guitar excellent resonance. Due to the EF-500M’s all solid woods the guitars sound should continue to improve with age. The EF-500M it well suited for those with larger fingers and also finger-style players due to a wide 1-3/4" rosewood fretboard . The Epiphone EF-500M is both comfortable and enjoyable to play due largely to a fretwork that is smooth and even and the guitar has a good action the length of the fretboard. The Epiphone EF500M, whilst ideal for fingerstyle players also sounds great when strummed with a pick due to the guitars excellent intonation.
Masterbilt guitars are designed in the US by highly experienced acoustic engineers and then hand-made in China under strict Epiphone quality control standards. Just some of the expertise on show with the EF-500M is the hand-scalloped bracing, full-body abalone binding and tapered dovetail neck joint. The EF-500M’s mahogany neck is fixed via a traditional dovetail joint that adds to the resonance of the guitar.
