Harness boots reviewed from cheap junk to the comfort ride
How to get the quality of harness boots that both fit your budget and fill your need.
Price: While price does not always indicate the quality, it is one of the major factors .
Leather: split leather or full grain leather.
Her is a review of a few of the Harness Boots That I have seen. Most reviews can be found on Amazon.com
The cheapest I have seen are Road Dawg Harness Boots by Guide Gear $49.95

The first thing I noticed about these "bargain" boots is that the unlined shaft has no fold over hem at the top, like every other pair of harness or engineer boots I've worn (about a dozen pairs): unsmoothed raw cut leather at the top, with "double stitching" around the circumference for solely cosmetic purposes. That was the only "double stitching" I noticed -- all the high stress areas were single stitched. These cheap boots scuff the floor. I walked across a friend's linoleum floor and left NUMEROUS black scuffs across it. After tree times, it seems like they had been worn for months! Under 50 Bucks, is usually junk made in China. And no, I didn't buy 'em for myself -- they were a "gift" from me skinflint mum.

This is the second pair I have owned in the past 10 years. The leather is good fo the price, I'd say not for heavy use. Very comfortable.

These boots are the greatest find ever! I always buy Harley Davidson products and will continue to do so because of the quality and fit! But, I wanted a cheaper pair that wasn't cheaper quality for a change, basically I wanted a different color and texture I couldn't find in Harleys products. Super satisfied when they showed up! These boots are well biult and are like harley boots! {at 1/3 the price}. The only difference is that they are not Harley brand! I will buy these boots again! Wore my Harleys for 6 years! i would be happy to get a new pair every two years and have them look good, rather than the same old beat up boots for years on end! At the price of these boots you can buy 3 pair for the price of Harley boots and have a new pair on your feet whenever you choose for those special occasions
Price: $79.95 - $99.99

Got these boots at a great price. I prefer the super thick leather of the ad tec harness boots. Not like the cheap junk I bought last year. I'd take a second pair of these.

Boy I cannot believe the selection. Available in black or brown and regular or short harness boots. I bought both of the taller ones, short ones are not my style. I am going to buy the silver eagle harness boot next. It looks so cool. Only flaw I found is they are always on back order.

Evan Shapiro: Too Hipster For TV? (TV Squad)
For the past two years, I've been lucky enough to be a small part of a show
called _Portlandia_. The series -- created by the prolifically talented Fred
Armisen and Carrie Brownstein and returning on Friday for a second season --
has been described by many a stinging satire of Hipster culture. While it does
parody Hipster earnestness, the show pays loving tribute to communities LIKE
Portland everywhere -- Silver Lake, Austin, Bolder, Williamsburg, Minneapolis,
Northampton, Berkeley, etc, etc, etc -- and much has been made about how the
show has puts Hipster Culture in the spotlight.
I must say, however, Hipsters are not a new TV phenomenon. With thick glasses,
just-so-avant-garde fashion and knowing smirks, Hipsters have had a special
place on TV since the beginning of the medium -- even before the birth of the
term. For more than half a century, TV Hipsters have had a profound effect on
American culture. These characters taught many of us the importance of oddball
tastes, wardrobe thrifting and (perhaps more importantly) the ever-lasting
power of snark.
So, to celebrate the return of _Portlandia_, to commemorate the long and
storied role of Hipsterism on TV and to ...
