Women's Gifts: Bracelets Are Normally Suitable
The back story of the bracelet is shrouded in mystery. No one knows precisely when and where bracelets stemmed from, but as long ago as the ancient Egyptians, both women and men wore highly lavish bracelets made of gold and embroidered with precious and semiprecious gems. Other materials which were used in Egypt as well as throughout the ancient world included bronze, copper, wood, stone, bone and plant fibres. The pharaohs and emperors of the ancient world liked bracelets that were very detailed, and it's believed that the charm bracelet came about no earlier than 3000 to 4000 years ago. In the Byzantine empire, which dominated Europe and portions of the near East along with the Mediterranean region from about 400 AD to about 1450 AD, people wore an ornate bracelet style that highlighted highly interwoven links. These bracelets were usually created of silver or gold.
Woman Gift -Bracelets Found in Asia
Farther to the east, the Chinese conceived elaborate gold bracelets decorated with jade beginning in about 2000 BC. Chinese bracelets of this era were fully detailed with images of animals, real and imagined, such as dragons and phoenixes. The pearl bracelet also originates in ancient China because quality pearls were numerous there. From olden times to modern times, China is still considered to be the pearl and jade capital of the world. The Chinese also initiated the use of glass in bracelets. India, in the meantime, became a leader in bangle bracelets. Indian bangle bracelets are very vibrant and contain phenomenal bead work made from metal or glass. In India, women sport bracelets to identify their marital status.
Bracelets in the 18th and 19th Centuries
Chain bracelets debuted in the 18th century, with Paris becoming the heart of jewellery trends. Gold was the preferred material and opaque jewels such as coral were popular. The convention of wearing lots of bracelets on one wrist developed at this time. There also was a restoration of detailed Byzantine styles. Also present was jewellery crafted from either fine gold or silver mesh. In the 19th century, the Victorian impact led to gems designed with sentimental value. Lockets and personalised jewellery were considered to be popular.
Woman Gift -Current Day Bracelets
Modern bracelets are usually adorned with high-quality Swarovski crystals. Swarovski is a first-class supplier of precision-cut lead crystal centred in Austria. Although bracelets made from gold and silver are usually preferred, less expensive bracelets are occasionally plated rhodium, a silvery-white metal related to platinum. Another popular stone for bracelets is the pearl. Authentic pearls tend to be very expensive, so faux pearls are often a wise choice. The best faux pearls come from Majorca, Spain, where the facts of their creation are a closely guarded secret. Faux pearls are dipped in finish coats to give them high gloss and lustre. Bracelets that unite faux pearls with crystals are particularly attractive, particularly if the crystals are polished with the "aurora borealis" (AB) coating that gets them to flash with rainbow colours.
Woman Gift -A bracelet is nearly always a delightful gift for a woman. From casual to "glam”, most women have a wardrobe of bracelets appropriate for a variety of occasions.
